Jeremy Fisher and Joe Nolan play upbeat folk

E-mail Print PDF

I only caught the last few songs of Jeremy Fisher’s sold out Oct. 22 show at the Geomatic Attic.

But it was jusJoe Nolan plays piano for Jeremy Fisher on his song High School. Photo by Richard Ameryt enough to catch the essence of his set as he alternated between playing keyboards and upbeat, catchy acoustic and electric guitar.

He was backed by a full band including bassist Matt Ouimet and drummer Ryan Granville-Martin.

He told jokes and sang in  an appealing tenor voice reminiscent of Paul Simon as well as more modern folk/ pop singers like Rob Szabo and Danny Michel.

He returned for a couple of encores including inviting opening act Joe Nolan on stage to  play extra piano and sing harmonies on his best known song “High School.”
